3	No general meeting is scheduled for January. Instead The Sierra Foothills Rose Society will be holding its "Annual Rose Pruning and Winter Care Workshop" on Saturday, January 12, 2013 starting at 8:30AM at the Maidu Community Center, 1550 Maidu Drive, Roseville, CA 95661. Phone: (916) 774-5950
5	McKinley Rose Garden Prune-A-Thon Time: 9:00 AM - Noon. Lecture on Rose Pruning Winter Care by Master Consulting Rosarian Muriel Humenick will start promptly at 9:00AM. Seven (7) private gardens and two historic homes. Lunches can be purchased for $8.50 and must be preordered. Donations are used to maintain the Rose Gardens at the Woodland Public Library.
